Mark Steyn touched on that very issue when filling in for Rush a few days ago. It really isn’t farfetched at all to believe “they” will make cash for care illegal; after all, how will “they” be able to protect you if “they” aren’t in control?
They have already something like this in place. I haven’t had insurance since 2006, no money for insurance. I paid cash to the Nurse practitioner. She gave up her practice in 2008, so I haven’t been able to see a reg. Dr. since. She knew that I was pretty poor and apologized that she could not charge me any less than she accepted for Medicare.
