The United States fights wars over 6,000 miles away. In austere conditions, usually without modern hygienic facilities at its disposal during the initial stages of said war. Further, women are on average, shorter and smaller than men, with 45-50% less upper body strength and 25-30% less aerobic capacity, which is essential for endurance in combat. Further, the female skeletal system is less dense and more prone to breakage.
This is not an “equality” issue. This is a biological issue.
Good friend of mine spent recent time working with the Israeli military. They use women as snipers, but not Infantry, as the female bodies could not take the stress and there were too many injuries over time.
