I recommend Friedelind Wagner’s autobiography - you can see what a fixture Uncle Wolf - aka the Fuhrer - was in their household.
The Jews who testified for her were stupid, and the judges even stupider, because, again “helping a Jew” means that you knew something was occuring to Jews on a massive scale - otherwise why would a Jew need your help.
To me the most damning thing against Frau Winifred is pursuing her own daughter to Switzerland to threaten her life for being “disobedient” and “making us look bad”.
It's not like Friedlind didn't have her own pleasant encounters with Uncle Wolf..
I've read Jonathan Carr's 'The Wagner Clan' so I'm well aware of the incidents you're referring to. Winifred was cowardly and concerned first and foremost about the 'family business' (and her own safety). BTW Winifred's other daughter Verena Wagner (on the right in the photo) is still alive.
