Guido Barilla, chairman of the world's leading pasta manufacturer, prompted calls for a consumer boycott on Thursday after telling Italian radio his company would never use a gay family in its advertising.
"I would never do (a commercial) with a homosexual family, not for lack of respect but because we don't agree with them.

Good pasta.
beat me too it!
All you have to do is say, “I respectfully disagree” and the “tolerant” left will become enraged and try to destroy you.
I am making my famous pasta carbonara on Friday, now I know what pasta to use.
The “tolerant” left is much like the “peaceful” Islam.
i only use barilla pasta in my pasta faggy oh lee soup...
they will boycott... and barilla sales will soar...
Bravo, Barilla!
But, I wish he hadn’t apologized. Too many people are afraid of the rabid homosexual militants and quickly bow and scrape whenever one pitches a hissy fit over someone simply speaking his mind about homosexuality.
For those dieting, Barilla has the best whole wheat pasta (well, spaghetti) currently available.
If he hadn’t apologized, his sales would have skyrocketed.
Watch Barilla do a Chick-Fil-A

added to the shopping list
I just picked up some Barilla.
WTH am I suppose to do with it now?
FK it. I’m starving.
Pasta pomodoro was what I wanted anyway.
Nice to know I don’t have to remove it from my shopping list.
I have never tried them and clearly, now I should. Are they above average as far as grocery pastas go? I know it ain’t like getting real pasta in an Italian restaraunt, nothing from a grocery store can be. But is it up to par as far as grocery foods go?
Back in the 90’s Barilla was a major advertiser on Bob Grant’s show. They do have a history of supporting haters and homophobes /sarc. I’m thinking of clam sauce over Barilla’s linguine. Yum!!
I will remember this brand. I’ll be from hereon a dedicated customer if they don’t waffle and retract like some Republicans.
Inexpensive but good quality.
I stopped using Respectfully years ago.
I just disagree and you don’t have to be okay with that.
What a country!
It will be hard for people to boycott them. Barilla is the only pasta I recall seeing on shelves whenever I’m in a grocery store in Italy. Guess they will have to boycott pasta all together.
