In my observations of history, at least four things are required for the decent into tyranny, (master ”owner” class and serf class)… a direct tax (income tax) on the people, a nationalized “healthcare” system that can require how you eat, drink, drive and live your life (lest it be withheld), corruption of the electoral process and the disarming of the citizenry. In a "rusty" irony, what good are drug wars and RICO laws to fight gangsters, when the government agents charged with enforcing them are now even BIGGER gangsters? I would ask Lois Lerner, but she’d just take the Fifth.

In more “rusty” irony many of my ‘progressive” friends are rightly outraged by the power given to the government by the Patriot Act, yet the IRS has had the same (or more) power for decades. I call it “guilty till they pronounce you guilty”!

What a joke. So if a legitimate business takes in a lot of cash they shouldn’t put it into their bank business account to avoid money laundering charges?
I know that the fascists want businesses to avoid cash, but this is just going to lead to under-reporting.
Anyone know if bit-coins would help in this situation?

Does ANYBODY pay attention?

Fer crissakes, civil forfeiture has been used for DECADES. It is one of the biggest weapons in the 'war on drugs', but like most big weapons it causes lots of collateral damage, like Mr Shott.

The Kansas City Star ran a six part series on it back in the 90's...very scary stuff...nobody cared then, nobody cares now.

If you burn down an Embassy and you’re important they’ll appoint your own employees to Review Accountability for the matter and then you’ll get in no trouble AT ALL:

NO ONE will lose their job, not even after a year.

You blamed and imprisoned some innocent guy in isolation for a year? That’s OK also.

But if the IRS decides you’re guilty of something then YOU ARE GUILTY, just like that. “Deem and pass”, legally speaking.

You’re a baseball player who took GH?

Sure, you’re guilty and you’ll be under the kleig lights up on Capitol Hill for...hmmm...maybe a year.

You’ll get in MUCH deeper trouble than had you smuggled machine-guns to narco Kingpins and killed 300 Mexicans and some cops.

I’ve been bullied by them as well wrt an Offer In Compromise that took 10 years and a ton of paperwork to get a No.

Im certain The Lois Lerner Gangs reach extends well beyond the Tax Exempt filings area.
