This is an example of why I often part ways with certain religious based members of the “pro-life” crowd.
Some crimes are beyond the limits of civilized humanity, and need a God to determine the appropriate punishment.
I am in favor of expeditiously sending these types of criminals to God's judgement.

Not all prolife are anti-death penalty.

I'm not sure I understand why you've parted ways with "certain religious based members of the 'pro-life' crowd." I'm a religion-based member of the Pro-Life Movement. I oppose capital punishment, whether it be capital punishment of convicted murderers or innocent pre-born children.
It is my opinion that Romans 12:19 says it all:
"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."
I am happy to acquiesce in the placement of the fate of all sinners, regardless of how profligate, in the Hands of the Lord, who will judge me as He does all.
