Worse than that....Obamacare requires coverage up till age 26. But a business owner I know was told by his insurance carrier that he has the OPTION of adding dependent coverage up till age 30.

And what is a voluntary OPTION today becomes MANDATORY tomorrow.

Well, that was also true for me back in 1985 when I was 22. I don’t know who was providing my parents’ health insurance, but that was the way they worked. I didn’t need it for long. Soon I got a job with my own health insurance (Blue Cross). But it was nice to know I had a backup.

Now, should this be mandatory? That’s a different question.
