So, just so I am clear about this.
These “Fees”, monthly premiums are actually a “TAX” ?.
A tax that varies based on your age, gender, income, state, smoking status etc ??

First - BTT!
Also understand that this tax violates the EXACT wording of the Constitution, yet is some how "Constitutional."
Article 1, Section 9 contains the following:
"No capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken."
I know, I know, the 16th Amendment states:
"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
This is NOT an income tax. It is a tax based strictly on whether or not you purchased a product (regardless of your income)! This is unconstitutional just on the basis of the pure WORDS within the Constitution. I just do not understand how the SCOTUS got this SO wrong!
