RNC Fundraises Off Ted Cruz
Roll Call ^ | 9/24/13 | Stuart Rothenberg

Posted on 09/25/2013 4:20:15 AM PDT by jimbo123

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is an advocate of the big-tent approach to grow the GOP, but apparently he isn’t above grabbing onto Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s coattails if it can help fundraising.

An RNC fundraising email dated today at 4:06 p.m., titled “I Stand with Ted” and coming from Priebus, invokes Cruz’s name and his “fight to defund ObamaCare.” Cruz was on the floor at the time advocating the repeal of the president’s key legislative accomplishment.

So after McConnell and the other GOP milquetoasts stab Sen. Cruz in the back by voting with Harry Reid for cloture today, they will use the money that the RNC raises off of Cruz’s efforts to campaign to keep their worthless butts in office. Disgusting beyond belief and the epitome of sleazy politics.

Cruz is a RINO. He is not really a republican. He is a classic liberal or, as we say today, a conservative.

The republican party disgusts me. Sure, the Dems are worse, but when given the two choices it is kinda like being a jew having to choose between hitler and stalin.

I don’t think it will work. Most conservatives, such as myself, have long ago given up on the GOPe. We know what they are.

The problem with most elected republicans is a lack of balls.

Don’t know what happens to them, but as soon as they get elected....

They hate him, but that’s no reason not to make money off his name.

Maybe it was a mental typo.

A slip of the mind.

No Cuban would call Cruz a RINO.

Read my post carefully.

What I am saying is that what we used to call a RINO is a normal republican. What we used to call a nice conservative Republican is now a RINO.

It is becuase the Republican party is not conservative. They are democrat lite. That makes the true conservatives in the party Republicans In Name Only, because they are NOT as liberal as the republican party.

i.e. RINO is a GOOD thing.

You're crazy...the sequel.

Your spinning RINO to be a good thing is typical Alinsky "new-speak".

Stop it...or crawl back under the communist rock you came from you phony!

Anyone that knows politics will not equate the rnc’s cancerous treason with Ted Cruz. TEA Party yes... republican national committee... not so much.

If you were to see my posting history since 1998 you would see that I am not a phony. I see it this way:

During the first gulf war I was at the head of a march in downtown seattle in support of the war and as we passed some young people in drab (Looked like the capital hell group, if you get my drift) going around a corner, a bunch of them held up their fingers in a peace sign. I thrust my hand up in the same “V” pattern and started yelling “Victory!” The whole crowd started doing it. The kids sheepishly put their hands down.

I like RINO as a term of endearment. Seriously. You are right about Alinsky. But he didn’t invent the idea. He just seized on it, as can we.

I consider Rand Paul a RINO. I consider all of the “good” republicans to be RINOs. The republican party has exposed it’s true colors. It is only slightly better than the Democratic party. Frankly, they have been dropping hints for twenty years, but the “husband” is always last to know. I (we) was in denial.

But my eyes have been opened.

Smart. Very smart
Reince Priebus and the RNC will use Senator Cruz and the few, the very few trying to defund Obama care to raise money in order to use it against Senator Cruz and the others.

This is fine as long as they don’t forget who their Sugar Daddy was when Cruz needs money to become POTUS.

Cuban,
I’m tracking agree. The whole party is corrupt and disgusting. Guys like Cruz, Lee, Palin, Paul, and a few others are the exception to the party. It’s a shame they dirty themselves by having an “R” behind their names.

It’s not too different than Zell Miller being a Dem. Largely a decent guy, but tied himself to losers.

I think I see what you’re saying. The ‘RINO’ insult has changed in meaning over these past few years, with the capers of McCain, Graham, the Bush’s, Romney et. al.
It used to mean “not really a Republican.”
Now it has taken on a ‘mene mene tekel’ shading (more like CINO):
“You are a mainstream, country club, Demo-elbow rubbing neo/’crunchy’ con David Frum Wall Street Journal amnesty loving quasi-liberal professiona career pol that I can’t come right out and call a POS because we’re supposed to be on the same side, or at least that’s what they tell us when they need support and/or money.

Precisely. My eyes have been opened. And as the old saying goes, “The truth shall set you free, but first it will make you sick.”
