As Cruz finished up with Rush he left no doubt this is not yet over.
All that is needed is 41 Senators to vote against cloture either Friday or Saturday.
If 41 Senators vote against cloture, then Reid will have to EITHER bring up a vote on the House CR with the Obamacare defunding language OR risk not funding government (government shutdown). Either way the Senate will be on the hook to fund government or shut it down.
But if 60 or more Senators vote for cloture, then Reid will arrange the Senate version of the bill to strike out the defunding lnguage and send it back to the House.
When it is sent back to the House with the defunding language pulled out, it risks finding 18 weak republicans along with all the dems to pass it thereby finding Obamacare.
This is why Cruz appeals to us to call our Senators and sign the online petitions.
