I perceive Cruz to be a pretty smart cookie. I believe that when he takes a political course of action, he is a bit like a chess master working out the likely “best case / worst case” scenarios if he makes a particular move and chooses a particular battle. I also believe he has heard the phrase, “choose your battles”.
In that context, I find it interesting, and kinda exciting, that he chose this one.
Oh, and McConnell is my senator. For now.
It’s clear to me that Boehner should be defeated, preferably in a primary but by voting for the Democrat if necessary.
Voting for a Democrat in KY for a six-year term is a harder sell. Hope you can chase him before November.
