My grand nephew saw this all coming years ago and decided to not be a physician since he didn't want to work for the government. He turned his attention to engineering, instead. After graduating with highest honors for his bachelor of science degree in materials engineering, he did the same for the masters and is now pursuing a PhD in the subject.
I'll bet that other high IQ people have also decided against being an MD.
