At a morning sermon Sunday in Northern Virginia, Republican lieutenant governor candidate E.W. Jackson, a Chesapeake pastor, said people who dont follow Jesus Christ are engaged in some sort of false religion.
Jackson offered that view while describing a list of the controversial things he believes, and that must be said, as a Christian....
It is not the first time Jackson has weighed in with controversial comments on questions of faith and social issues. He has also said that gay peoples minds are perverted. They are frankly very sick people psychologically and mentally and emotionally....

Why is it that we on the Right always eat our own?
Just because you buy into the lib media lie that the only extremism can be found on the Right doesn’t mean it’s true.
Actually, they dont.
YES . . . THEY . . . DO!!!!!
There is only one religion permitted for Jews (Torah) and only one religion permitted for non-Jews--the Noachide Laws. Judaism does not teach that all the religions of the world are beautiful expressions of people's search for "gxd" (or whatever), though most people, including most Jews, think it does. But it DOES NOT!
Non-Jews are forbidden to create new religions, religious holidays, or religious ceremonies, and all those that have been so created throughout history have been created in disobedience to this law.
Basically the last 2000 years of history, the last 75 or so in the USA being the bear lone (and wonderful) exception.
Please list the instances of Jews being forced to "convert or die" prior to 75 years ago in the United States. I mean it. Because, quite frankly, my friend . . . there aren't any!!! I don't know where you're getting your information. Also please explain why moslems who kill Jews to this very day aren't nearly as scary.
You're beginning to sound more and more like one of those people who insists that the only place in which Jews may safely observe the Torah is a sewer. You're giving a very, very bad impression here.
Okay. Chrstian clergy should be barred from seeking or holding political office. Got it. Thanks for playing.
Let's all acknowledge that no body actually knows anything, that there is no objective religious truth, and everyone should be forced to attend services in the UN "meditation room" once a year.
I'm done here. Shit.
Then you have no grounds for any moral or ethical beliefs and have no business on a conservative forum.
Good-bye.
I want to see the detailed documentation... truly, have you read even the New Testament gospels through even once? Where such behavior as you allege is even slightly authorized, I would like to see. Surely if a person calling himself a Buddhist refused to obey Buddha, you’d question whether he’s a Buddhist... why do you not question whether these were even “Christian” people at all? It’s like some great ipse dixit that is treated beyond question by your sages.
We doubt if you will follow up on your good bye, but it was amusing to see it....
Exactly so. I don't believe in any religion, and it doesn''t offend me in the slightest for an adherent of a religion to claim that his is the One True Faith.
Then by all means let's insult them. Cuccinelli is trying to win in a state that has gone blue. He's got to overcome the sitting governor and his ethics issues, the media, the Democrats, and now his lieutenant governor candidate.
I do not buy into the media worldview. However, I’m a realist that understands that the rules are different for conservatives and it doesn’t do our side any good to feed the media trolls with these kind of statements. A case in point, George Allen and macaca, a statement that I’ve never heard of. The media painted Allen as sub-human and Allen lost a narrow race. Of course it’s a lie, but the media’s use of these lies is a reality and it tends to work. See also Akin and Mourdock. We need to be more careful.
Being insulted may not make deter them from conservatism but it may deter them from coming out and voting.
I think I’ll hang around. You have no authority over me.
Yet Biden can get away with his crap...”dey gunna put you in CHAINS...”
And Obama can say “you didn’t build that....” Ad nauseum...
If we buy into the double standards then we have ceded to the enemy the field of battle....
Call them on everything and their hypocrisy and attack...NO defensive position!!!
And NO shooting your own troops!!!
“I guess all the Christians should just stop telling people what they believe if they run for office. Thats a good plan. We do want to be acceptable.”
What I want is for people to shut up and tell me about liberty and how they intend to keep it and expand it. Their religious beliefs are their personal information we have no business demanding. Likewise, they have no business telling us about them. We didn’t ask.
Of course they get away with it, they’re liberals. Like it or not, fair or not it’s how the game is played. Let me ask you, is stating that Judaism is a false religion going to get more or less people to vote conservative? Is stating that Judaism is a false religion an important tenet of conservative political philosophy? We can stand up to the media’s double standards but our candidates shouldn’t make their job easier with dumb statements.
Honestly, while I only read what the effing Compost reported, I don’t think he meant Judaism when/if he said that ...
I believe he recognizes we are a JUDEO-Christian nation and really meant those who disparage Christianity or wish to see it destroyed and/or marginalized.
Again, it’s the Post making a relatively innocuous statement into extremism.
I just ask you to keep from letting the bad guys get to you...buck up, have faith, don’t listen to the noise and get the job done!
I don't mean to be disrespectful of the new Pope or of Catholics in general, but maybe he hasn't read God's word on the homosexual issue lately .
Here's a hint, God's word says that performing homosexual acts is sin, and also that it was the commission of that sin on a large scale that was responsible for the destruction of the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and for the death of their inhabitants who regularly committed those sinful acts.
There are many passages of scripture that confirm God's condemnation of homosexual acts as grossly sinful in both the Old and New Testaments. For a few examples, Leviticus 18:22 & 20:13, Judges 19:16-24, 1st Kings 14:24 & 15:12, 2nd Kings 23:7, 1st Corinthians 6:9-11, Romans 1:24-28, 1st Timothy 1:8-10, Jude ch 7, and more. Although those references to specific scripture passages that I cited are not the only ones that bear on the issue, how many times does God have to say that same-sex acts are sinful in order for people to understand that He really means it?
So do I. They are God’s chosen people.
On a purely secular note - do you or do you not want your politicians to have a set of core beliefs and adhere to them, or do you want their convictions to be founded in opinion polls?
Doesn’t persecution of God’s chosen people mean that said persecutor is outside the body of Christ?
