Let's be absolutely clear here. If the Democrat controlled Senate rejects the Continuing Resolution passed by the House that completely funds the entire government except for President Obama's unconstitutional, nation-wrecking, job-killing, pet project, the trainwreck also known as "Obamacare," then it is they (Obama and the Democrat Senate) who are clearly ordering the totally radical and unnecessary shutdown the of the federal government.
The bill passed by the House fully funds all legitimate government functions. The people do not want federal government controlling their healthcare and they are speaking through their elected representatives.
It would be prudent for the President and the Senate to abide by the will of the people rather than threatening them. Pass the bill that funds the government!
And stop lying. Do not blame any shutdown on the Republicans in the House. They are doing the will of the people. When you blame them for your own obstinate acts, you are lying and you are punishing the people.
And when you claim our military won't be paid, you are lying. When you say social security checks won't go out you are lying. Past experience proves that all essential government services will continue. The main thing that will happen if the Democrat President and the Democrat Senate orders the radical shutdown of the government is hundreds of thousand of non-essential government employees will be laid off. Big deal. Life will go on.

Background Information
The House passed a bipartisan bill to prevent a government shutdown and to defund Obamacare so it won't be implemented this year. This House legislation represents the will of the American people and the Senate should approve it. Unfortunately, Harry Reid and the Democrats plan to add Obamacare funding back into the bill using a procedural trick that allows them to fund Obamacare with only 50 votes.
Senate Republicans can stop Harry Reid's plan to fund Obamacare by defeating cloture – a vote on the process that requires 60 votes. If Republicans defeat cloture, they can protect the House bill that defunds Obamacare and pressure Democrats to adopt it.
However, if Republicans vote for cloture, Obamacare will be funded and millions of Americans will be forced into a government program that is unaffordable, unworkable, and unfair.
A vote for cloture is a vote to fund Obamacare.
Don't let Senate Republicans tell you the vote on cloture is a vote to "defund" Obamacare. It is not. Cloture approves the debate process, not the bill being debated.<.b> If cloture were truly a vote to "defund" Obamacare, the Democrats would not be supporting it.

I agree with your assessment. The media, including Fox, is going with the President’s take on this, ignoring that the defunding of ObaynerobertsCare is separated from the CR for operating the g’ment.
But reading several threads here on FR over the weekend, it’s apparent that many of our FRiends have swallowed the party line again.
