Just nominate people who are not loony right in their thinking. Good solid conservatives who have a decent track record, have been adequately vetted, and know what they can and cannot say. Akin, Angle and ODonnell actually outed themselves. They didnt need any help from so-called Phony-Cons.
Just shows to go you that Northern Californians view conservatism differently than Northern South Carolinians.
As a longtime member of FR, you should well know by now that, as evidenced on FR during those times, Akin and O'Donnell were hammered by and NOT supported by THE NATIONAL REPUBLICAN PARTY financially or any way. And Sharon Angle against Harry Reid? Gimma a break. Fix was in BIG TIME and you should be aware of that by now.
I would say, by virtue of this one post, YOU have outted yourself as a solid mainline Republican, perhaps with a very slight conservative leaning, or a Northern California Democrat at heart. And we know who you mean by "the loony right".

“Grahamnesty can be defeated.....as long as we dont have the sissy PhonyCon Liberals try to Akin the conservative candidate. “
Not true!. And FWIW, my family has roots in Nevada and we have had very good connections that show to our satisfaction that Sharron Angle was, in point of fact, financed by people close to Harry Reid because they knew she would be the easiest to beat. Her record in the Nevada State Legislature shows that she was almost always a disruptive force that made progress more difficult. You simply can’t be known as someone who can’t work with anyone to get anything done. As for Akin and O’Donnell, you don’t have to be a Mensa to know that they were going to self-destruct. It isn’t so much about their core beliefs, it’s about some of the “fringe” ideas that each of them have, that turn the voters against them. Just what is a Northern South Carolinian? Is that the same as a Southern North Carolinian? Inquiring minds want to know. I just hope that you want Linda Graham gone as bad as I do.
