So when the child is not under the direct supervision of the parent, he is no longer accountable to authority?
I differ. The parent has a responsibility to ensure their children are properly supervised at all times. Especially when away from home a large part of the day, under the care of other adults.
My folks would first meet the teachers and gave them a paddle to use if I didn’t behave. My dad taught me how to shape lumber by carving a wooden paddle in the workshop, which we hung up in the pantry and whenever discipline was administered, we first had to retrieve the paddle.
Worked pretty well and I never had to be disciplined in school for disobedience.
Many problems in schools today, may be solved by applying the Board of Education to the Seat of Knowledge.
Schools are not like they were in the old days.
The parent has a responsibility to ensure their children are properly supervised at all times
So, they don't have to send their kids to public school?
Yes, we should force them to submit on their knee's and in some classes do fallatio on those in authority I guess. The teachers are never wrong, even if they are perverts I guess.
ALL HAIL MIGHTY AUTHORITY! INFALLIBLE AUTHORITY!!
Believe it or not, some people don't trust almighty "authority".
Government officials do not count as "other adults" and most people have no choice but to use public school they did not simply "leave them under the care" of that infallible "AUTHORITY", they had no choice.
Forget parents, we now have almighty AUTHORITY in charge who can whip your kids without your permission for whatever reason without trial or evidence.
