I was at a restaurant recently and we were waiting for service. I saw a server walking by and I said, “Ma’am, would you mind helping us?” and as she turned I realized it was a male who had long hair pushed back with a headband, five-o’clock shadow with makeup, tight bustier top holding up nothing, leggings, and fingernails with a fabulous manicure.

It is sad.

This kid was not dressed flamboyantly. He didn't seem gay to me, and having lived for over a decade in and around San Francisco, my gaydar works well. He really just seemed to be halfway between male and female. If it was an act, I don't see the point.

I hope he finds his way back to being comfortable as a male. But, it's his life.
