I agree with Cork. This strike is a non-starter.
I drove for Comcar in the 1990’s between National Guard gigs. Every summer, in July like clockwork, there was talk of a great wonderful wildcat truckers strike.
The union drivers laughed. The company drivers kept quiet and went on driving. The owner-operators yelled “Go on and strike, more freight for me!”
It’s a lot of smoke, that’s all.
We’ll see where it goes. If 10,000 show they could easily shutdown DC by closing the beltway.
I rode in the 2 Million Bikers to DC and estimates now are between 1.2M and 1.5M. Not bad for a months worth of effort.
Be nice to see 500K truckers, 1m Bikers and the Tea Party get together in DC for a couple days.
Shut the city down, take over congress and stop government would be a “civil” war. If that doesn’t work, break open the trucks arm the bikers and take back America.
