Yep. Bush was wildly popular here. War on Terror, great. Faith based initiatives, great. Big government expansion, great. After all he had an R after his name and he pissed the liberals off.
I want government out of my life as much as possible and I tend to doubt morality laws are going to accomplish that.
But now that someone with a D after his name is in the white house, it’s cool to go back to paying lip service to being all about small government. Even some of the hard core, boot on your neck statists. You know the ones who wanted Snowden put up against the wall and shot. There are some here whom I suspect were the ones calling into CSPAN and talk radio demanding assange be tried for treason (it gets funny when you tell them he can’t be tried for treason and they pound the table demanding to know why).
