“...what does “defund Obamacare” really MEAN?!”
No money can be spent on implementing the nuts and bolts of the law. No money for “Navigators,” additional IRS Agents, Exchanges, additional HHS bureaucrats, etc. Even the printing office cannot spend a dime on making copies of the regulations, and no staffers to write them.
But can't the administration simply "reallocate" resources to do their enforcement? Or, if this thing does ever get off the ground, wouldn't prior violations during the time that the program was "defunded" then be addressed?
I see this as a slight improvement, but long-term it is unacceptable. This thing needs to be flushed totally, somehow.
I'm sure the IRS has already been up-staffing in preparation for this travesty. It would really be nice to watch them have to fire them all.
