Al Sharpton (who’s shakedown rackets of labels “for not enough black employees” for payoffs to go away is known in the industry) and Al Gore Jr. (who followed his PMRC hearings with an attempt to ride the coattails of payola investigations on his way to a 1988 White House run). Rudy Giuliani is also referenced in parts because of his chase for John Gotti and other mob figures.
