That’s very dated. Columbine was a dismal failure. Look up Albuquerque police and the response at the Emcore shooting. They charged straight in, no waiting for swat. That’s the modern thinking.

Thanks for the education. I don't know what to think about old school or new school cops anymore.

I am building a panic room sized for me, Mr. hummingbird and the canines.....it won't be 100% - I don't want to trap us - but definitely time to to get FULLY loaded and aim.

Of course, to be fair, training and thinking varies WIDELY from city to city. And DC is not known as a quick-thinking, fast on their feet variant of law enforcement. (Unless of course, you want to engage in some sort of free speech)
