BETHESDA, Md. A pro-gun control group has slammed Texas Gov. Rick Perry for inappropriate timing, calling it callous for him to visit a Beretta USA gun factory just two days after a mass shooting left a dozen innocent people dead at the nearby Washington Navy Yard.
Its callous that Gov. Perry
would show so little sensitivity, to victims the Navy Yard rampage, said Jenifer Pauliukonis, Maryland head of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
Listen, theres always anti-gun individuals, Perry responded, asked about the criticism after meeting with business leaders and top Maryland Republicans at Mortons steakhouse in Bethesda, in suburban Washington. The fact is, Im a pro-Second Amendment guy. Texas is a pro-Second Amendment state. Beretta has been a great manufacture in Maryland and they feel not only under-appreciated, they feel under attack.

I think it is pretty callous to leave the people at these military installations unarmed and unable to protect themselves from crazies and terrorists.

Maybe Perry should “shake his groove thing” like Barry. Apparently a party was in order following the shooting - is that the new Presidential Protocol? After a tragedy, the first thing is to criticize political enemies, and then throw an awesome party.

Maybe he should have gone to visit the people who make violent video games.

Perry is a Republican who says what he means and means what he says. I would like to see him as President.

I plan on a visit to the local state mental institution so I can do a count on free bed space. Is that callous?

Just take a press release from an advocacy group and turn it into a news story.
How can we conservatives get in on that deal?

And how many divisions does this “gun control” group command? They don’t have guns, so they are irrelevant..

Whack job nonsense.
So when would the appropriate time to visit a gun factory be for their delicate sensitivities?
A week?
A month?
A year?
Never?
These head-up-their-arse morons do not understand the law, nor do they understand the reality of the gun issue.
Perhaps they would have a magic wand waved and have all guns disappear.
And knives and other sharp objects.
And clubs and anything else capable of being used to produce blunt force.
And rocks and other possible projectiles.
Liberalism IS a mental illness.

No one should be allowed to shop for a car after someone else steals one and runs over somebody’s gramma.
