To be fair, there actually is a shotgun which is patterned after the AR-15: the MKA 1919, a 12 gauge shotgun currently being imported from Turkey:

Never thought I would see- AR15 SHOTGUN!!
it would be very comical- if not for their trying to take
away our rights (just happen to be focusing on the 2nd
amendment today)- will get to the others later this week.
