I stopped feeling warm fuzzies about Walgreens when I heard an ad this week saying that if you get a vaccine there, they see that a kid in another country gets a free shot. It’s called, “Shot@Life”, and sponsored by United Nations Foundation, Bill Gates, WHO, etc.
“Shot@Life, a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, educates, connects and empowers Americans to help protect children in developing countries from vaccine-preventable diseases. By joining this movement, you can help save a child’s life every 20 seconds by learning about, advocating for and donating vaccines to children who need them most.”
How about giving free shots to kids in OUR country instead of to the kids who’ll be killing our children in 20 years? Maybe I’m a cold-hearted bitch, but why not save OUR children first? We already know that, no matter how much good will we show to other countries, they still despise us and want to take us down. Enough.
I believe that any kid in the USA can get free immunizations already. In my state, all you have to do is take your kids down to the county health department. The exceptions would be immunizations that you’d only need for international travel.
I dropped Walgreen’s when I was going through chemo. I had acid reflux anyway and chemo just killed my heartburn so cancer doc gave me a scrip for Nexium. Went to Walgreen’s to have it filled where I found it was $180 or something under my insurance because it wasn’t covered. Told the gal....nevermind and she started opining on how Obamacare was gonna fix all this and how wonderful it was gonna be. I told her butt off, left, and called the company to complain. Have not been back.
Hard headed perhaps, but not cold hearted. The problems we face demand in this emerging crisis is rational, heard headed practical solutions that are effective as opposed to our current mode of implementing irrational , emotion driven feel good and self congratulatory solutions that are irrational, ineffective, counterproductive and ultimately self destructive.
You aren't a cold-hearted anything. I totally agree with you and had an adverse reaction to the ad--changed the channel. The Left attempts to guilt people into helping our enemies around the globe, but I bet there are 1000s in Appalachia that don't have enough food, clothes, shelter or medical care.
I agree with you.
I have felt that same thing, every time I see that commercial.
