Reid (before the above comment from Scott):
Ambassador Stevens was loved by the people in Libya...
He said “Arab Spring.” Good grief.

General says this new “normal” with in the context of the ARAB SPRING...
yes, he said it.
You have a system. That is great. Thank you.
He’s good at spouting the buzz terms his Leader loves...
that’s how he made General, me thinks
“The opening congresswoman mentioned that nine members from the Big Committee For Armed Services want to sit in and ask questions.
‘Could we be lucky enough to see Gowdy, Jordan “
One can hope! It’s been a long day...accident of scheduling?
Speaking of bright bulbs, I didn’t realize there was another hearing today and was slow to pick up. Thanks for the link. I can’t rewind...UGH!
BTW ALL: I heard a podcast of a reporter traveling throughout USA. Behgnazi is VERY DEFINITELY on the radar screen of the fly-over country.
OK, Speers is making me like her a little by these last questions...just a little
Question I would like to hear...
If Benghazi happened right now, how long would it take to respond?
How long would have taken a year ago?
What is the highest level today would you get the go order, who would issue the order?
Who would have given the go order a year ago?
It’s not about today, Reid, it’s about 2012 and a COVER UP!
Your first two have been kind of asked by Chair...
they said the disaster would NOT have happened if present resources would have been in place...
Your last two need to be asked, yes...
Dude! They are at least in the neighborhood of your questions.
Excellent... General says PRESIDENT has the authority to call in resources into foreign country...given the “circumstances”...
(Aside: both appear pretty slimey so far, to me)
new term to learn...
“Chief of Mission” = ambassador
I used to live in America. It was great while it lasted.
Reid is thoroughly coached.
McKeon:
Gen Roberson - front-side before the bang? Ugh
“elevate up to the PRESIDENT!
Reid: Get cooperation from the host country.
I have always thought THAT was a big prob, but never brought up-—even in FR. Rarely a question asked about that.
Remember Hillary’s other famous statement (paraphrase): How could they do that to us?
“General says PRESIDENT has the authority to call in resources into foreign country.”
but see post 576.
Remember how troops from Tripoli spent 3-4 hrs waiting for escort at airport. 3-4 HOURS.
I can see the hearing but no captions. IF Gowdy and/or Chaffetz or any of our guys show up, pls ping me. If I can stay awake, I’ll be back.
To my knowledge no one has ever asked what “obstacles” the Libya govt presented to the US that night.-— even thought the US never needed permission to do anything.
Am I correct about that?
