Authorities said the victim was snatched about 2 a.m. Tuesday after two armed men broke into her home in Ellenwood, a suburb of Atlanta, though the back door
"The mother actually tried to hide the two kids," Clayton County police officer Phong Nguyen told NBC affiliate WXIA.
"There was a little dog in the house and it started barking so the intruders shot the dog. They demanded money and jewelry from the mother," he added.
The mother said she didn't have any cash of value "so instead they kidnapped the 14-year-old girl." Her 15-year-old brother was not harmed, police said.

amen.
and if the two pieces of scum won’t repent and voluntarily come to you, we ask you remove them quickly from this world.
Great. Kidnapping as a business is moving into Georgia.
Two men suspected in Georgia kidnapping reportedly make $10G ransom demand
Perez's aunt, Suky Guerrero, said family members are trying to raise the money to secure Perez's release, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
A law enforcement official close to the investigation confirmed the ransom to the newspaper.
OMG. . .they surely have a ‘record’; and the question will be; why were these two ever on the streets. (And same reason; per inane answers; no doubt.)
Sick; savage really. . .depraved and empowered by emptiness and feeling entitled. Liberalism continues; to break down ‘boundaries’ of thinking; behavior. . .and moral behavior; moral responsibility; and families. Beyond pathetic.
There is a rising tide of ‘people’ who have long lost touch with their ‘humanity’ - and it is not recoverable. They fear ‘nothing’; and least of all our ‘Justice’ System.
Well said.
GA FReeper ping.
Praying now.
Which is why my 45 acp is always within reach.
It’s very strange or these two ferals are really, really stupid, that they would try to collect a ransom when they are already subjects of a manhunt.
How do they expect to pull this off, when law enforcement is already involved?
And why has law enforcement publicized the fact that a ransom is in the works? Kind of makes it obvious that the cops are involved, makes no sense.
Sick; sick; and depraved these people are empowered by Liberal emptiness and with belief/conviction; in equally empty; Liberals insistance on unearned entitlement.
(Liberalism - including it's PC MO's; and the culture it invites; continues; to break down and disrespect individual 'boundaries' - of thinking; of Faith; of Gender; of Family and of property. All of which frame personal accountability and individual responsibility and by 'Faith and the Moral'; empathy and compassion.)
By all the above; and 'more' no doubt; it appears there is a 'rising tide' of people who have long lost touch with their humanity. And for many of these; it will never be recoverable.
We are in the grips of the Entitled Generation; inclusively - Gen X; Y and Z. In that mix; think there is another; if only an 'offshoot'. Could call it, Gen TAK; the Throw Away the Key Generation.
According to the media, the family told about the ransom demands. Law enforcement hasn’t confirmed. (at least the last report I read)...
From WSB mobile website:
“....Viteri also learned that Ayvani’s father had flown in from El Paso, Texas Tuesday after learning about his daughter’s kidnapping. Family members said he is the one the kidnappers called demanding money for Ayvani’s safe return. A family friend told Channel 2 Action News a family member briefly talked to missing girl over the phone. The FBI will not confirm or deny that report....”
At least we know she was still alive several hours after the abduction.
WSB is reporting that she’s been found!
Alive, I should’ve added.

Found alive! Thank the good Lord!
Thanks for the heads up. Great news.
If they shot the dog, they must be cops. (hey, another FReeper TOLD me to say that!)
