I doubt that Red China has any plans to invade the Philippine Islands. To what end? A Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere? How did that work out for Imperial Japan?

I don’t expect an invasion, but merely economic slavery to China. The Philippines has lots of raw materials, right? It will just be as China is doing in Africa.

However, China definitely does believe that everything up the RP shoreline belongs to them. And the Middle Kingdom would appreciate a bit more kowtowing while you're at it, by the way.

How did that work out for Imperial Japan?

If our civilian leadership has the will to use the Marine Corps in the same way, we might be able achieve the same result.

Any bets on how likely that is?
