The Texas pension is a joke. My inlaws are both retired teachers. When they were young enough they took on jobs. But now they can’t. There is nothing lucrative about teacher retirement pension in Texas.

At least they have a pension. Very few private companies offering Pension Benefits. The 401K was never designed to be for retirement, they were designed for tax deferral.

A pension in this day and time is like striking GOLD.
