For years I used to accept the mainstream story that Harvey Milk was killed because he was gay. That was spouted as fact. Did some further reading and discovered that Milk was killed in a Vic Morrow exact wrong time, wrong place award winning shooting. Milk was killed due to where he was, not who he was. Dan White was only there to kill San Francisco Mayor George Moscone, Milk was just collateral. Had Milk showed up a few minutes later, he might still be alive. White wasn't looking for him.
