Waiting to hear from all the FReepers who’ve been saying that the U.S. shouldn’t be the world’s police anymore.....
maybe they don’t mind if Russia takes over that position.
I DO

This is what we call balance of power. What was done regarding Iran by US in the past few years? Nothing. Russians are no big fans of Iran but in this case they will have more control that will be beneficial to everyone. Sadly we in US have no real politicians and diplomats in power who can play on the world stage.

FReepers don’t believe what obama does will ultimately be in US interest and like watching him flounder. Is this good for us? No. Condelezza Rice warned about this happening where some other countries would fill the vacuum if US influence was allowed to recede. I think it was going to happen anyway with obama in control.

We should police when it is in our vested national interest to do so. When we fight wars, we need to DECLARE war and fight like we did in WWII. Our police work in Afghanistan and Iraq were “targeted” and under ROE’s that created defeat. Nothing obama would do in syria would make any positive change for us or the world... the time for that action was when he was policing Libya... and that was right after he policed Egypt... how is all that working out for our republic?
