If I’m not mistaken, of all the Commie gensecs, Tito was the only one who had some positive successes governing.
Tito was from the area and one of the few they never replaced,...and probably for very good reason.
Germans also never had much success in that area.
You’d think when we deployed into that region, we would have capitalized upon the humint of former Soviet and German flag ranked officers regarding their perceptions and insights of those peoples.
