I think it’s fascinating. I haven’t seen the “establishment” class so apoplectic over anything this much in years. Somehow Putin struck a nerve.
Personally, I just thought Putin’s piece was a mix of some good points and some nonsense. Didn’t really mean much to me. The more interesting thing has been the reaction to it. Maybe it’s because it prompted some people to open their eyes and indeed confront how grotesquely degraded America has allowed itself to become.

Exactly. I haven't overlooked the fact that our elected officials and their pet pundits are more interested in being outraged at Putin than honestly examining what he said. We're headed down a really bad path.
A friend who grew up in the Soviet Union made a great point to me the other day. She said that in the Soviet Union, college professors were people who were solidly behind the party. If they were deemed to be "subversive" they would be removed. While we took a different route to get here, we are in a very similar situation with very solid socialist control of nearly all schools and universities.
