North America is awash with cheap, abundant energy. The only thing the US lacks is the will to utilize this resource.
It just might make sense for Japan,for example,to shut down her nuke plants.I'm no nuclear power plant engineer but it seems to me that a major earthquake zone might not be a good place to build a nuke plant.If that suspicion is correct then perhaps the West Coast of North America might also want to avoid nuke plants.But Germany,IIRC,isn't an active earthquake zone and isn't susceptible to tsunamis.
