The Democrats had a plan to win this election.

Under the mail-in voting rules, a voter anywhere in the State of Colorado could request a ballot in either of these districts by stating that they intend to move there within a year. The Democrat strategy involved large numbers of voters in Denver and other Democratic strongholds requesting such out-of-district ballots, to tip the scales in favor of Morse and Giron.

Apparently, the election authorities realized that the mail-in rules made no sense in a recall election. In a normal election, you can expect people to vote in there own districts, in the main, which would limit such mischief. In a recall, the recall districts the only ones voting, so the opportunity for cross district vote fraud is much greater.

So the rule for these recalls was that the voter had to be physically present to vote. This worked well, as the result of the election closely mirrored the pre-election polling.

Preventing massive cross-district voter fraud is what counts as “Voter Suppression” these days... That’s why Giron can’t shut up about the mail-in voting. The Democrats had a plan to steal the election, and it is a gross injustice that they were not premitted to do so.

I believe you hit that proverbial nail right on the head.

Every once in a while, the Dem’s obvious and incessant efforts to steal an election through whatever fraudulent means they are allowed to get away with prove to be insufficient to overcome the will of the voters, at which time we witness their dismay and disgust echoed throughout the media. This case was one such example, as was the effort on Gore’s behalf in Florida. Each time, however, they learn from their mistakes, shore up the weaknesses in their system, and come back with increased effort.

The Republicans never seem to learn, never undo the laws that Dems put in place to allow this fraud, and in general come across generally as amateurs at this election business, with some exceptions.

It appears to me that the Dems know that their agendas are not as popular with the population as they claim, and that they are forced to resort to fraud and lies and deceit to gain election and implement their policies because they can never really win in an honest contest.

But that also means that the next general election will likely see the return to office of more gun-grabbers, while the voters stand around looking at each other and asking "How in the world did that happen?"

California has been destroyed in just such a way - using illegal aliens and outright manufacturing rather more than mail-in ballots. The state is the Democrats' vote fraud test lab, and they export successful tactics to the rest of the country.

Apparently, the election authorities realized that the mail-in rules made no sense in a recall election.

Actually, only republicans got petitioned onto the ballot before the deadline. Mail in "Vote for Fidel" ballots with only a republican challenger and no dem choice prompted a lawsuit by the not yet qualified Libertarian candidate.

He got enough signatures to be on the ballot, still no Dem qualified. With the state constitution timeline mandate, there was no time to re-print and mail new ballots.

So a lawsuit by a Libertarian and a Dem lawsuit challenging the whole process, mail in was not possible.

This will be the last free and fair election Colorado ever has.
