An 18-year-old Georgia man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for fatally shooting a baby riding in a stroller during a robbery attempt at a seaside town, a judge ruled Thursday.
De’Marquise Elkins, 18, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, The Associated Press reported.
Elkins was 17 at the time of the killing and thus too young to face the death penalty under Georgia law.
A jury last month found Elkins guilty of two counts of felony murder and a count of murder in the March 21 shooting of 13-month-old Antonio Santiago in Brunswick, Ga.

I disagree. I hope the scum lives to be 90 years old. That is 70 years of having to lean forward for the other inmates to enjoy his rectum and mouth. Plus having to eat that garbage.
This kind of sentence is one reason why the modern justice system is so expensive. A comfortable jail cell, with a big screen TV and all the amenities. I would venture a guess that this guy will cost the taxpayers of Georgia at least $60 or $80 million (plus inflation) before he meets his Maker.

wonder if he has “street cred” for killing a baby. I’m sure he thinks he’s one tough mother fletcher. See how tough he is in prison.
