Rather apocalyptic in Colorado right now. 12 inches of rain in Boulder. Heavy flooding. 3 dead. Nat. Guard called in. I am south of this and have 2 or 3 inches of rain. Still raining.
Still a raging inferno after 4 hrs, looks real bad high winds expanding fire.

Wind has caused fire to expand. It is expanding northward toward Seaside Heights from Seaside Park.
Would appreciate your prayers for these firefighters—my son is one of the volunteers fighting this fire as we speak. Lots of help has arrived from surrounding communities.
Gov. Christie on TV now.
400 firefighters—35 fire companies, 15 ladder companies on scene. 30 mph winds going north—that is where the Boardwalk goes—north/south.
Water is being pumped from Barnegat Bay all the way to the Boardwalk to fight the fire. Hurricane Sandy compromised some of the water systems.
Boardwalk has been broken up at Lincoln Avenue, and a trench dug there—this is where the firefighters are making their stand to keep the fire contained.
My son is at Lincoln Avenue right now.
Christie has been at Lincoln Avenue. Says destruction south of Lincoln Avenue is complete.
Christie asking everyone to stay away. Christie says he is ill about this, after all the work done to rebuild here.
But when this is over, we will pick ourselves up and start work again.
Not to worry, his pal will make it all better.
Any news about the cause of this fire?
