There he goes again -- Russian President Vladimir Putin, portraying himself as the world's champion of peace and democracy. And, of course, doing it at America's expense.
This time, Putin's PR machine managed to get him an op-ed in The New York Times, just in time for the start of talks in Geneva, Switzerland, over a plan to dismantle Syria's chemical weapons arsenal. The column is so filled with hypocrisy, inaccuracies and even veiled threats that it's hard to know where to begin.
Putin chastises the United States, which has stumbled badly in Syria, for considering an attack because a strike "will result in more innocent victims and escalation." It could, he warns, "unleash a new wave of terrorism." He forgets to mention that tens of thousands of innocent victims in Syria have already died at the hands of President Bashar al-Assad's forces, which are armed, supported and supplied by Moscow.

The Soviets (Russians) were experts in political blackmail during the cold war. This is why one could not gain super sensitive clearance if one had anything in their closet...such as affairs, being gay and so forth.
Could Putin have intelligence on Obozo?
While Putin’s no angel by any stretch of the imagination, he loves his country and will kick the snot out of anyone that gets in Russia’s way.
The little turd in the White House has the bruise to prove it.
Putin is a ruthless murderous tyrant.
Dunno if he has killed anyone personally, but he has had people murdered. He has thrown rivals or enemies in jail on trumped up charges. I think he actually thrown folks (like Pussy Riot) in jail just ‘cause he felt like it.
His virtue seems to be a love of or, at least, loyalty to his country; he ruthless about pursuing what he thinks to be in Russia’s best interest and he seems loyal to his allies. He also knows who his (and Russia’s) enemies are, never forgets, never forgives and gleefully kills them in job lots.
I’d say he is making the US look bad, but after electing Obama TWICE, I think WE are making the US look bad.
The commies at the Communist News Network are upset that Putin is kicking obuma’s communist butt.
Yes.
Putin is a hypocrite with blood on his hands...
...who makes OUR hypocrite with blood on his hands look like a hapless dunce.
Putin didn’t start this war. Obama (”Arab Spring”), the Sauds and the Qataris did.
Half of the dead are supporters of the government, which has been in power for the past 43 years.
The Syrian regime is the internationally recognized government of Syria and about half of the population, if not more, supports it. We are trying to overthrow that government by force of arms. The blood is on our hands as well.
;-)
“Putin is a ruthless murderous tyrant.”
I guess I missed all those murders by Putin. How about you provide links to fill in blanks.
No doubt Putin is no angel, BUT, get a load of this:
If You'll Recall, Vladimir Putin Vowed to Defend Christianity Worldwide...
Interesting read!
Would that just be delicious!
Say what you will about Putin.
The fact is he is making Obama look like he belongs in grade school.......
Thats because the Obamanoid does belong in grade school All liberals have a juvenile mentality..
and most RINOs...
Putin reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the KGB — not the head; but, also not low-ranking. He was a genuine KGB operative, at the sharp end of the spear. The head of the KGB would be more of a politician than anything. Bush 41 was the CIA Director — that didn’t make him a master spy, or international man of intrigue.
The John Steward Daily Show had an interesting 30,000 foot perspective. Yes he is a jerk, murder, etc, but Putin kept the US from going to war, which could have inadvertently started WWIII.
Let's factually look at things. Kerry's unbelievably small strike combined with Syria and Iran's promise to harm the US and to make Israel pay could have ignited WWIII. Remember there is no love lost between our NATO allies (Turkey) and Syria. WWI started because of an little problem in one country invoking a bunch of mutual defense treaties. It could easily happen in the middle east, especially with Iran willing to do crazy things.
They're all part of the same hypocrisy.
Russia does not have gay pride marches in their army and Russians know a Marxist when they see one.
The central focus of the US State Department for the last five years has been some kind of a faggot jihad...
The attempt by our own State Department to steal the Russian elections for their comrades in the Russian Communist Party through non-profit NGOs was soundly beaten by Vladimir Putin (love him or hate him).
This is why Russia cracked down on non-profit groups.
The homosexual attack on the Orthodox Church by the queer punk band Pússy Riot, who were on the payroll of State Department funded NGOs, is another reason. Lesbian weirdo Madonna was also flown in as a provocateur...
Thanks TangledUpInBlue.
Alexander Litvinenko is probably a good start.
It’s more likely that both Alexander Litvinenko and Boris Berezovsky were killed by Soros. Litvinenko was killed by Berezovsky on the order of Soros to make Putin look bad, and Berezovsky had a load of dirt on Soros and was about to spill the beans to MI5 in exchange for liberating the $257 million he had hidden in Serbia.
The High Court in Belgrade uncovered Berezovsky’s stash and released the records last month.
Things aren’t always as they seem. I don’t think we’ve heard the last of the intrigue coming out of Russia. I’ve learned, though, not to believe everything bad about Russia. The New World Order crowd is as vicious and murderous as any communist clique, and Soros is a big chief in the NWO crowd.

In fact lieutenant colonel doesn’t even made you a station chief in KGB. At peak of his career (mid 1980s) he was a deputy station chief working under diplomatic cover (not even an illegal spy-operative) at Soviet consulate in Dresden, Germany - a backwater city of a friendly nation. It was probably about as ‘cool’ and important as having a CIA job in Canada’s north. Not to mention by 1991 Putin held a desk job back home and resigned that same year the day KGB hardliners started a failed coup against Gorby’s reforms.
