This is really a staggering blow to any politician with thoughts of supporting anti-gun legislation. It sends a far stronger message that even Clinton's comment that gun legislation cost the Dems their majority in the House.
But I have yet to see it reported on the major news media. I happened to be in the process of changing channels, and caught the segment on ABC news about "politicians losing", which turned out to be about Spitzer and Weiner.
