sadly Ive lived here since 1971, and am all too familiar with the fire season.

the current fire near Mt Diablo....and Mt Diablo State Park....another fairly well known Tourist Location....is currently at 3,200 acres !

Lovely sight just lovely! how about I re name it Mt Sierra Club State Fire Park?

Ive seen plenty of it in my time.
Ca lights up every year.
Az is getting bad.
The entire west.
Manzanita and pines burn good.
I wanted to harvest some scorched Manzanita, it is next to impossible
It is all protected even when it is dead and is a tinderbox.

I am sorry to see the Diablo fire.

The forest will come back rather quickly.
