Did John McCain let the Cat out of the O’Bagy? (an O'Bagy/McCain retrospective)

Elizabeth O’Bagy is listed as a Political Director for the Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF) in the group’s Washington, D.C. office. SETF lobbies Congress on behalf of the Syrian rebels. During a Senate hearing this week, Senator John McCain, perhaps the most vocal supporter of the Syrian rebels in Congress, pointed to an op-ed by the twenty-six year-old O’Bagy that appeared in the Wall Street Journal on August 30th. He then asked Secretary of State John Kerry, who agrees with him, if O’Bagy’s assertions were correct...

Georgetown University is under the very strong influence of Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. From the University’s website:

In December 2005, the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding (CMCU) received a $20 million dollar gift from HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, an internationally renowned businessman and global investor, to support and expand the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. The Center was renamed the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding (ACMCU). This endowed fund was the second largest single gift in Georgetown University history.

The Director of the ACMCU is none other than Professor John Esposito, a renowned Muslim Brotherhood apologist. Here he is in a faculty photo (wearing yellow jacket, second from right):

Note the O’Bagy/Esposito/Alwaleed Bin Talal connection.

The question is also...is O’Bagy speaking for John Esposito and Alwaleed bin Talal when she directs American policy re: Syria.

Why would anybody take a 26 year old seriously when it comes to foreign policy, especially in the ME? What is her experience? How many years did she live in the ME? How many administrations did she serve with? How many foreign languages is she fluent in? She’s nothing but an Al Quaeda sympathizer with a few contacts.

Because she is a mouthpiece for someone much older and more powerful.

O'Bagy was a whitewashed front for a more powerful group. Amazing that the senile McCain didn't catch it. Or perhaps he did and didn't care.

(Turn congressional hearing tone on.)

This certainly has a whiff of impropriety about it, Senator McCain. Perhaps the seriousness of the charge - so to speak - merits an official investigation.

(Turn congressional hearing tone off.)

Makes you wonder if that’s why he had such a chit-fit over Michele Bachmann going after the muzzie brotherhood.

Something is not right about McCain--never has been.

Don't know if it something that he contracted at the Hanoi Hilton or much later.

But he cannot be trusted.

Possibly dirty...but why would he be?

He's old and rich...what could possibly motivate him to be dirtier than he already is?

So Georgetown is being bribed to promote the savage Muslim religion in this country. It also foisted on the nation Sandra Fluke, the nasty-girl lawyer who wanted taxpayers to finance her birth control. Both are unforgivable.

The source of this article is Shoebat (but I have confirmed the substance of it from other sources--it is common knowledge)...but I don't trust Shoebat that much.

Not saying Shoebat is a bad source...just saying that I have had some doubts on some intel.

Maybe those doubts will go away as things develop.

I agree, but lately Shoebat has been doing great research and providing links to all his sources. He’s definitely doing his homework but like you said, time will tell.

I like Shoebat, but some questions have been raised about his claims of being a former terrorist.

We need to know if he is telling the truth or is simply creating a career out of his foggy experience.

There is no room in the search for truth for lies about one's path.

Agree, heard about him being a fraud a couple years ago. I hope it’s not true, but haven’t looked deep into it. But understand your concern.

No idea.

What motivates Soros, Buffet?

With some people it seems the more money they have— the more they seem to hunger for it.

The wealthier they are, the more they feel entitled to try and run the lives of others.

Power is much of it, I suppose.

Heck, look at the Saudis.
