Rights based on disabilities? I'm thinking....
So let's consider intelligence as a disability. I think hereditary and learned stupidity can certainly be labelled a disability today. It certainly limits what an individual is capable of. Voting and guns?
I might be persuaded to consider limitations on gun rights based on intelligence IF a civics test and license were required in order to qualify for voting rights. If you can't: Name 3 branches of government, 4 SC Justices, Speaker of House, Senate Maj Leader, VP, SoS and answer some basic US history questions....all in english, you fail. You don't get to vote.
I read about this story on another venue. The police chiefs daughter is legally blind and wants a gun permit. Good for her!
