If you read what these two former State Senators said, you would think they won. They think this will not affect anything. One said he will be back in office in sixteen months.
Buffing the floors and emptying the garbage maybe.
I don’t know. Reading about this was pretty depressing. It doesn’t sound like anyone, including the governor is backing down. They will just keep doing it until the public gives up.
Wow! A glimmer of hope for our nation.
Well, they’re trying to put on a brave face publicly, but I guarantee that in the conference rooms behind closed doors, they’re panicking. Gun control is dead in Colorado, at least for the short term.
Realistically it doesn’t affect anything in Colorado. The Dems still control the Senate and the new Senate leader is even more anti gun than the one recalled. He may very well win the next election too since it was a tight race.
That said, the real impact is outside Colorado. Anti gun legislators in states not fully committed to gun control were sent a very big message.
Wow! A glimmer of hope for our nation.
That was my first thought, too, outofsalt, though I've to confess my second thought was to wonder whether the powers that be high in the Democratic [sic] party didn't decide to toss us a bone to lull us: encourage us to believe our votes still count. We shall see.
Well, I’d say it’s highly unlikely that the Dems chose to throw this fight. This recall seems to have re-energized us, a desperately needed victory...
Congratulations, Colorado!
Great news. When I closed-down last night at 10pm EST, Morse was losing by only a few percent, and Giron was way ahead in the recall voting. Glad to see both scumbags lost. RINO Gov Chicken-pooper needs to be thrown-out, too. Nice job, Citizens of Colorado!
Great news! Honest people overcame busing and millions of dollars from a NYC billionaire to stand up for the Constitution and gun rights!
Way to go CO.
Here’s how it works. If they weren’t voted out of office, it would be a tremendous victory and boost to Bloomturd’s mayors against illegal guns campaign. We never would have heard the end of it and it would have been a springboard from which an even bolder attack against our 2A rights would be launched. That didn’t happen. We not only held the line, we inflicted damage. It isn’t a death blow but I’ll take it.
It’s pretty extreme to have two people recalled like that.
This is Colorado trying to inoculate its self from gun diseases coming out of Kalifornification. It’s a start, hope it works.
What is bizarre is that Morse, who most thought would lose big, only lost by a little, While Giron, who most thought might lose, barely, lost big.
Something very weird going on there.
I’m happy we won, but notice how close it was for Morse. If it had been left to the voters in his district he would have lost 75% to 25%.
They (I guess mostly college kids) damn near stole it.
That was odd.
It is nice to receive some happy news from time to time. Congratulations Coloradans!
