In this story is the kernel of why abortion on demand. is mostly helps promiscuous men and hurts women. I confess that when I was a young man (and not a Christian) I was all for it. But I also never really thought about it beyond my own narcissistic needs. As is the case for most pro-abortion folks today.

Actually, its most vocal supporters are promiscuous women who think that their "sexuality" trumps any and all ethical and legal principles.

We as a society can make pregnancy either a matter of either equal responsibility for the man and the woman, or equal irresponsibility.

You'll note from the comments following this article that a whole lot of people want to opt for "equal irresponsibility." In other words, if either party wants the baby dead, then dead it should be, since neither of them should be "forced" to be a parent.

But as soon as the women is pregnant, both she and her partner are parents. The only choice they get at that point, is whether they will be mother and father of a live baby, or a dead one.

How about "pro-choice" as a choice that can only be exercised pre-conception? If you do not want to produce a baby, do not insert 100 million live spermatozoa up a woman's genital tract. That makes a crazy kind of sense, doesn't it?

It entails respect for the woman, respect for the man, and respect for children's dignity by not conceiving/begetting them willy-nilly.

Call it "Chooz before you scrooz."
