David Axelrod Gives Obama, Not Putin, Credit For Assad Turning Over Chemical Weapons

Here's your non-shocker of the day. Former Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod is giving President Obama, not Russian President Putin, credit for Syrian President Assad's agreement to turn over chemical weapons.

If POTUS hadn't threatened credible military response, does anyone believe Russia and Syria would be coming forward now? No time to falter. — David Axelrod (@davidaxelrod) September 10, 2013

President Obama is still scheduled to make his case for a "military attack" on Syria tonight from the White House, but with the news breaking this morning the Russians and Syrians have reached a deal, you can bet his speech will be all about how his threats of a tiny, very small attack led to diplomacy.

Practiced conman, Axelrod forgot that good politics consistents of having "good timing." Just yesterday Axelrod tweeted to the worshipful media WRT Onono plans to address Congress to push the strike: "Big move by POTUS. Consistent with his principles. Congress is now the dog that caught the car. Should be a fascinating week!"

Too bad ....Putin didnt get Ax's memo. ROTFL.

Axelrod is hustling to do a CYA---gotta protect his CBS advisor status and his tax-funded political institute at the U of Chicago.

================================================

These Chi/types Oboner/Axelrod/Valerie are so self- serving. Axelrod is always good for a belly laugh. Always made my day when he appeared before the WH cameras trying to look "harmless." Insofar as going to war being "consistent w/ Ohaha's (cough) principles"......this was the 2008 virulent anti-war candidate PR man Axelrod created.

Axelrod is now a CBS "consultant" and has a political (gag) institute at the U of Chicago (a monument to his ego paid for by taxpayers).

======================================================

Let's take a stroll down memory lane and review the typical Axelrod/Obama campaign strategy. Obama became a U.S. senator only by virtue of David Axelrod's former employer, the Chicago Tribune, ripping open the sealed divorce records of Obama's two principal opponents.

One month before the 2004 Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate, Obama was down in the polls, about to lose to Blair Hull, a multimillionaire securities trader. But then the Chicago Tribune leaked the claim that Hull's second ex-wife, Brenda Sexton, had sought an order of protection against him during their 1998 divorce proceedings.

Those records were under seal, but as The New York Times noted: "The Tribune reporter who wrote the original piece later acknowledged in print that the Obama camp had 'worked aggressively behind the scenes' to push the story." Many people said Axelrod had "an even more significant role -- that he leaked the initial story."

Both Hull and his ex-wife opposed releasing their sealed divorce records, but they finally relented in response to the media's hysteria -- 18 days before the primary. Hull was forced to spend four minutes of a debate detailing the abuse allegation in his divorce papers, explaining that his ex-wife "kicked me in the leg and I hit her shin to try to get her to not continue to kick me."

After having held a substantial lead just a month before the primary, Hull's campaign collapsed with the chatter about his divorce. Obama sailed to the front of the pack and won the primary. Hull finished third with 10 percent of the vote.

Postmodernism in action. It doesn't matter what the truth is. The only thing that matters is a narrative that furthers their agenda

C’mon! Who in their minds ever thought Obama the Nobel Peace Prize winner will give the nod for a strike? ‘Unbelievably small’ not withstanding.

It has been this admin’s past modi operandi that they created or accelerated a crisis any crisis to be used for their operation. The whole thing only showed how scary Obama team designed and cooked-up the whole ‘crisis’ thinking it will make their man ‘look good’ - Obama the brave, Obama the peacemaker, etc

Can’t wait to hear what Obama says tonight in his speech. Will it be a victory lap sort of talk??? We’ll see..............

You won't have to worry about any quotes out of Sun Tzu! I'll bet that Obama thinks Sun Tzu is merely a close relative of General Tsao.

Here's a couple of gems from the first page of "Laying Plans" (artofwarsuntzu.com):

3. The art of war, then, is governed by five constant factors, to be taken into account in one’s deliberations, when seeking to determine the conditions obtaining in the field.
4. These are: (1) The Moral Law; (2) Heaven; (3) Earth; (4) The Commander; (5) Method and discipline.
5,6. The Moral Law causes the people to be in complete accord with their ruler, so that they will follow him regardless of their lives, undismayed by any danger.

Quite telling that while Boehner and Cantor hurriedly jumped on the bus, the Congressional Black Caucus didn't leave the station. Undoubtedly, their price hasn't yet been met.

Well, since Putin is our shadow Secretary of State, his Boss Obama should get the credit, right?

Obombster’s incompetence is getting more and more embarrassing, not to mention the threat he is to ntl security.

The buzz is the military were given 50 separate orders (I guess Valerie and Susan couldn’t make up their minds).

Things got worse when China and Russia stared exchanging recipes w/ Assad for “Obamaburgers” ....... add a hint of soy sauce, serve sides of sauerkraut, fried rice, blini and a dollop of and Beluga caviar.

Let Obama take his public credit if he wants it.

The Coptic Christians of Egypt have survived as a minority for 1,400 years by being self-effacing. In this situation, they would let the Muslim leader claim credit so long as they accomplished their objective of protecting their families.

This is a bit like the situation in which American conservatives find themselves. In Canada, a conservative leader rules with a light hand after earning a majority in parliament with only 39% of the vote.

Now a light hand and self-effacing does not mean adopting socialist policies, becoming a RINO or abandoning your principles.

Let Obama take his public credit if he wants it.

Even Reagan once said, "There's no limit to what you can accomplish, when you don't worry about who gets the credit." Of course that's all that Obama and his crew does, worry about getting the credit.

Here’s a possibility: Assad agrees and his bio/chem weapons are “confiscated”.

Assad later uses a hidden stash to gas his own people and blame it on the rebels.

“Hey, it was our people and all our weapons were confiscated, common sense tells us it was the rebels”.
