I heard that Colt has visited one or more southern states to look at a possible move from Connecticut.

I just got an early comment in on this article, and if freepers “like” it, then it will stay nailed to the top of the comments section, thousands of libtards will read it, and give them heartburn. It’s sort of a trick for “hijacking” a libtard website’s comment thread.

Remington, whose corporate offices are still in NY is moving south to sunny climes both for weather and to leave draconian laws. They are being courted by various states.

I just revoked my $4500 a year home/auto insurance plan from a company located in MA this morning. No reason to invest money in those Yankee Lib states and get this crap in return.
If ONLY 1000 gun owners did the same as me, that would be $4.5 MILLION not going up North PER YEAR.
Do the math, and pretty soon your are talking serious money. Insurance companies are a big deal in the North East. Find out where yours is headquartered. A one time change to an insurance plan is a painless way to starve the beasts in gun grabber states.

I hope Remington is lured away from New York. The last I read on the subject, though, was that the corporation had taken on a lot of obligation to New York State in the form of bond-financed facility expansion (they did recently move Marlin production in-house). They might not be able to relocate for some time.
It's unfortunate that shifting state politics have left some of these old companies "behind enemy lines".

Thanks. I love “freeping” aka hijacking a libtard paper’s comment section after an article like this. It will just get better all day long, nobody will push my comment away from the top, and the libtards will go insane.

Currently, states like NY pay huge benefits / tax incentives to keep those flagship companies from fleeing.

Virginia would be nice. It would, but they may be holding back, pending the results of November's gubernatorial election. If Fast Terry the Bagman wins, he'll push for gun restrictions along the lines of Colorado.
