The end of "stop and frisk" - welcomed by so many, let's say "naive", FReepers is starting to change things.

Demanding constitutional behavior from police is not "naive." Perhaps this uptick in crime will force the sheeple of NYC to accept the fact that draconian gun laws and DA's who prosecute self defense are a hazard to safety. Perhaps it will even force them to realize that coddling and supporting a violent underclass is suicidal.

Since I don't live in that fascist toilet, I don't really care whether they figure it out or not but it was certainly crucial that "stop and frisk" be labeled unconstitutional lest it spread to decent parts of the country.

Demanding constitutional behavior from police

Again, Terry stops are quite constitutional.

The big lie attached to this whole story by the ignorant and unlettered is that the police have no authority to make Terry stops.

They absolutely do, and only in a left-libertarian's fantasyland are the police supposed to collect paychecks for waiting on thugs to rob or assault someone before they ask them their business.
