Obama: "I understand" American people aren't with me on Syria strike [Doesn't care, like Obamacare]
CBS ^ | September 09, 2013

[Clown]: ... I have shown great restraint, I think, over the last two years, despite the heartbreak that's happened there. But what I have said is...

... I understand deeply how the American people, after a decade of war, are not interested in any kind of military action that they don't believe involves our direct national security interests. I-- I get that.

Third, as has been emphasized many times, and I did so as Secretary of State, the broader conflict in Syria is a threat to regional stability and security of our allies and partners. As well as a humanitarian catastrophe for the Syrian people and those neighboring countries attempting to absorb hundreds of thousands — now more than two million refugees.

Achieving a political solution that ends the conflict is in the interests of the United States. It will require an intense diplomatic effort guided by the road map that was agreed to be the international community in Geneva last year, in June of 2012. There was an agreement we hammered out that pointed the way forward. We need to get to the opportunity to begin such negotiations to move toward a resolution.

RE :” There was an agreement we hammered out that pointed the way forward. We need to get to the opportunity to begin such negotiations to move toward a resolution.”

Clearly we wouldn't have these problems if Hillary hadn't resigned. Syria's weapons would be destroyed by now if she stayed on and Syria would be at peace as she left Libya the model state it is now.

Kerry just cant fill her HUGE panties, er I mean shoes.

I half expect Obama to make a speech along these lines:

"Our problems in the Middle East are because the Bush administration's policies alienated everyone. If Kerry had won in 2004 and been re-elected, I would have inherited a Middle East in much better shape. I can't be expected to fix in four-and-a-half years the mess created by George W. Bush."

Obama lied to us about Benghazi, and then spent a year covering up his dereliction of duty as Commander In Chief during the critical hours of the Benghazi Massacre.

Can anyone in the US Military trust Obama?

Why should we taxpayers trust Obama?

Who can trust someone whose own sealed personal records cannot be verified?

Obama cannot be trusted or verified is the obvious conclusion.

I dont see that.
He could say that things are better than when he got them but he isnt going to blame Bush as he is counting on the Bush people to help flip GOP Senate and House members on this.

He definitely wont mention Kerry's 2004 run.

I guess he will try to pin it all on that obstructionist GOP congress again.

Chamberlain was totally out maneuvered by Hitler, gave away Britain’s strategic position on the Continent for nothing and came home waving the paper around like he’d won.

Putin gained everything he wanted and gave up nothing, embarrassed 0bama, and if 0bama had a scrap of paper he’d be waving it around.

I don't think Obama would go quite that far in politicizing foreign policy--but that may be what he would like to say if he didn't think it would backfire. Of course it was better for him that Kerry lost in 2004, because if Kerry had been the incumbent Obama would have had to wait until 2012 for his first run for the White House.
