If Moliere, Rabelais, Gogol, Mark Twain and the Monty Python crew all worked together for a hundred years, they couldn’t produce a more ironic and satirical novel than this last week of political reality has produced.

I don't know how long it took Ayn Rand to pen Atlas Shrugged, but recent history seems to parallel the novel.

Indeed.

I 'went Galt' before I knew of Atlas Shrugged, then when I did read it, was surprised to find anyone with the same values for the mundane world that I have. I've read it yearly for the last 20 years, except the last three, when we were obviously living it.

And before I was (a cheap copy of)John Galt, I was Howard Roarke.

But my choice of the satirists was in consideration of this week's world wide reactions to the 0bama debacles over Syria, and capped off by this announcement of Bush and Hillary as being beyond ironic.
