David Cameron sounds pretty excited about it too. Did Waffles bumble his way into a “solution” to the crisis? Here’s the presumptive Democratic nominee creating a little rhetorical space for her party to declare victory and walk away:
“If the regime immediately surrendered its stockpiles to international control, as was suggested by Secretary [John] Kerry and the Russians, that would be an important step,” Clinton said. “But this cannot be another excuse for delay or obstruction. Russia has to support the international community’s efforts sincerely, or be held to account.”
Clinton also defended Obama’s push for strikes as instrumental in making such a political settlement possible.
“It is very important to note that this discussion that has taken hold today, about potential international control over Syria’s stockpiles, only could take place in the context of a credible military threat by the United States to keep pressure on the Syrian government as well as those supporting Syria, like Russia,” she said.
GOP Rep. Mike Rogers, chair of the House Intel Committee and devout hawk, made the same point earlier. Apparently, if not for Obama’s heroic half-hearted saber-rattling, Assad would be free to flaunt his chemical weapons openly instead of pretending to turn them over while continuing to slaughter Sunnis en masse. There’s your Hillary 2016 foreign-policy bumper sticker.
This isn’t the only help she’s given to the White House on the big Syria push either; she called Schumer and Mark Pryor this past weekend to try to sell them on voting yes. Pryor, as far as I know, is still a firm no today on attacking. Meanwhile, in Syria:

She means that “unbelievably small strike” Kerry threatened that would leave Assad still eating his Cheerios.
That is an earth-shaking threat that is.
How sad for them because as we know this was all to be a show for Iran. lol.
We dislike Iran so much, we were going to whack Syria. Just for show, though, a tiny, little bitty whack. like putting the ‘kick me’ sign on Syria’s back and pointing and laughing at their best friend across the hall as he is powerless to help. Just to show we could.

It seems like just yesterday but it’s been twenty years since Hillary was loosed on the country, like a weasel gaining entry into a chickenhouse.
Destroying people in the travel office, terrorizing WH staff, patronizing military attaches and SS ... stealing FBI files and studying them upstairs in bed. The little minx!
But I’m pretty sure we won’t survive the next three years, so let’s not worry too much about her.

Love the way liberals toss around that phrase. Then, when it’s actually time to hold one to account, we get. “homina, homina, homina...”
I was worried Putin would “rescue” the Syrians by “taking” the known chemical weapons and putting Russian Marines and soldiers ON the known Syrian locations and bases. And, of course, no one knows where the rebel/AQ chemical weapons are hidden, and where the Syrian Army chemical weapons are hidden now.
Once the Russians were in place, THEN any attack against the chemical bases WOULD BE an attack on the Russians and Putin would have “won” the round, and protected Syrian, AND shown who the other Arabs and Muslims could “trust” to protect them ....
He would also have protected HIS interests in preventing the gas and oil pipelines form going through Syria, and would have set Russian up as the newer trusted power in the region.
But it also shows Europe who is actually in charge of THEIR gas lines going into Germany, Poland, France, Spain, Netherlands, Greece, Italy ....
Funny, isn’t it - that the US media is now busy claiming this idea of Russian “protective custody” is Obama/Kerry/Hillary’s idea, isn’t it?
